The Mutual Association

The International Civil Servants Mutual Association, founded in 1959, is a non-profit fund exclusive to the United Nations at Geneva and Specialized Agencies, whose objectives are to promote mutual assistance among staff members of the United Nations Office and other Organizations within the United Nations family at Geneva, and the facilitation of the settlement of the said staff members and their family.

The affiliated Organizations are the following: ILO, ITU, WTO, WMO, WIPO, IMO, UNICEF (UNICEF staff members duty stationed in Geneva only), IOM, WHO, HCR, IPU and UNEP (UNEP staff members duty stationed in Geneva only).

New opening hours: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30am until 1:00pm. Afternoons are reserved for appointments.

The remuneration of the CHF deposit account for 2017 was an interest rate of 0.60% plus a bonus of 1.30%.

The interest rate on the USD account for the forth quarter 2018 is 0.05%.

Fourth edition of the bike loan programme at the Place des Nations (corner of Avenue de France/Avenue Giuseppe Motta): from 23 April to 21 October 2018 members of the Mutual Association can borrow every day, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., one of the 20 classic and 20 electric bicycles during the following hours:

  • from 11.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m;
  • from 4.30 p.m. to 9.30 a.m. the following day;
  • over the weekend: from 4.30 p.m. on Fridays to 9.30 a.m. on the following Monday.
  • The on-line reservation system developed by ITU Mobility for the booking of electric bikes is again available. Please go to Book your bike to create your account, using your professional email address. Terms and conditions of the project must be accepted when creating the account. All accounts created in the reservation system in previous years remain valid. To allow as many staff as possible to try an e-bike, the following conditions are in place:
  • Maximum of 1 reservation per user per day;
  • Maximum of 2 reservations per user per week;
  • Maximum of 2 reservations per user at any given time.
  • New partnership with Catch a Car which is an easy, economical, ecological and practical offer to drive from anywhere to everywhere in Geneva. Once registered, you may choose from one of the 100 available cars in Geneva.
