Complementary health insurance supplements all the benefits provided by the UNSMIS, SHI-WHO and SHIF-ILO basic schemes, which do not cover all medical expenses.
Complementary health insurance has been specially designed for international civil servants and their family members, based on the various basic schemes.
It covers, for example :
- Private room in case of hospitalization;
- 90% cover for natural medicines (massage, osteopathy, shiatsu, hypnosis, etc.) without prescription but with approved therapists, up to a maximum of CHF 1,250 per calendar year and per insured person;
- Prenatal admission: 1 month free.
Complementary health insurance premiums vary according to age and basic scheme.
